This species is accepted
The native range of this species is Indian Subcontinent to China (S. Yunnan, Guangxi) and N. Indo-China. It is a perennial or rhizomatous geophyte and grows primarily in the subtropical biome. It is has environmental uses, as a medicine and for food.
