Biogeografic region: Amazonia, Andean, Guiana Shield, Caribbean, Orinoquia, Pacific. Elevation range: 0–1000 m a.s.l. Native to Colombia. Colombian departments: Amazonas, Antioquia, Caquetá, Chocó, Meta, Putumayo, Santander.
