Leaf-blades chartaceous or thinly coriaceous, oblong-elliptic, 10.5–16 cm. long, 5–8 cm. wide, shortly acuminate, rounded and unequal-sided at the base, entire, glabrous or with a few hairs on the veins beneath, 3-nerved from the base, with the basal lateral nerves extending almost to the apex and the upper prominent lateral nerves 1–2 on each side of the midrib; petiole 5–18 mm. long.
