Similar to G. macrodon, G. scabridum and G. daucoides in all but fruiting characters

Fructiferous partial umbels bearing 2–17 fruits, 11–17 mm long, crowned with the greatly elongated, recurved calyx teeth, which may attain half the length of fruit or more and are uncinately hooked at apex

Mericarps with 5 sharply defined primary ribs and 4 more slender lines in the furrows between, in section with 9 subequal vascular bundles, 5 ± rounded in the primary ribs, each with a small dorsal vitta, and 4 more angled in the valleculae, each with a ventral vitta.

Oakwoods in the mountains, alt. 1200–1500 m
Phenology
Flowering and fruiting: Jun.–Jul.
Distribution
Rare in Iraq; only found in the NW corner of the upper forest zone. Turkey (SE Anatolia).
