Corona lobes fleshy, ± 1.5 mm long, with lateral flanges to ± 0.5 mm from base and an inward-pointing linear or triangular tooth ± 0.5 mm long at apex (lobe described by Kupicha 1984 as ‘penguin-shaped’); corpusculum ± 0.2 mm long, laterally compressed and somewhat arcuate when viewed from the side.

Note
This species is very closely allied to A. interruptum, which differs in the dorsally flattened corona and the more conventional, subovoid, form of the corpusculum.
