Small glabrous tree, 3 m. tall, with one or a few main branches and short lateral branches near apex.

Leaves drying greenish; blades narrowly oblong to oblong-elliptic or elliptic, 12–29 cm. long, 5–10 cm. wide, acute to acuminate at apex, acute to attenuated, and often unequal at base, subcoriaceous, very shiny above; bacterial nodules linear, restricted to midrib; petioles 1.3–5.5 cm. long; stipule-limbs truncate, 3–4 mm. long, sometimes becoming corky, bearing a slightly keeled lobe, 2 mm. long.
