Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences
Inflorescence a panicle. Panicle open; ovate; 15 cm long. Primary panicle branches 4-10 cm long. Spikelets solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences Spikelets
Spikelets comprising 5-9 fertile florets; with diminished florets at the apex. Spikelets linear, or oblong; laterally compressed; 8-11 mm long; 2-3 mm wide; breaking up at maturity; disarticulating below each fertile floret.
Fertile
Spikelets comprising 5-9 fertile florets; with diminished florets at the apex. Spikelets linear, or oblong; laterally compressed; 8-11 mm long; 2-3 mm wide; breaking up at maturity; disarticulating below each fertile floret.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences Bracts Glume
Glumes persistent; shorter than spikelet. Lower glume lanceolate; 1.5 mm long; 0.75 length of upper glume; membranous; without keels; 1 -veined. Lower glume lateral veins absent. Lower glume apex obtuse. Upper glume lanceolate; 2-2.5 mm long; 0.66 length of adjacent fertile lemma; membranous; without keels; 3 -veined. Upper glume apex obtuse.
