Morphology General Habit
Shrubby herb to 2 m tall; young branches 4-angular with 4 longitudinal furrows on edges, glabrous, glaucous.

Leaves glabrous, fleshy; petiole 1–4 mm long; lamina elliptic to obovate, largest 4–7.5 × 1.5–2.2 cm; apex acute to rounded, finely apiculate; base slightly to distinctly hastate.

Inflorescence single, 2–5 cm long; peduncle 2–5 mm long; axis finely glandular puberulous with short non-capitate glands and subsessile capitate glands; bracts broadly elliptic to orbicular, broadly rounded with mucro to 1 mm, 6–10 × 5–8 mm, upper finely glandular puberulous with non-capitate and capitate glands; bracteoles 1–2(4) mm long; flowers solitary.
