Leaf pairs somewhat unequal or subequal, blade elliptic, 5–19 cm long, base cuneate or uppermost leaves rounded, margin serrate, apex acuminate, surfaces glabrous, lateral veins prominent beneath.

Inflorescence a ± large, lax terminal panicle, ultimate branches wiry, spreading at acute angles, glabrous; bracts and bracteoles < 5 mm long, oblong-elliptic or obovate, green, often faling early.
