Small tree 4.5–6 m. tall; young shoots glabrous but leaf-buds sticky; bark buff, wrinkled and striate.

Leaf-blades elliptic-oblong, 6.5–11 cm. long, 3.5–5.5 cm. wide, shortly acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, glabrous save for a few hairs in the axils on domatia beneath; petiole 1.2–1.5 cm. long.
