Morphology General Habit
Succulent herb to 70 cm high; stem erect, succulent and up to 25 mm in diameter, green with 3 reddish lines below each node, the base enlarging and becoming tuberous and to 60 mm in diameter.

Leaves densely set, semi-terete with adaxial groove, to 8 cm long, 3–4 mm in diameter, green, glabrous.
