Leaves petiolate or sessile, petiole (0–)3–6 mm long; lamina narrowly oblong or oblanceolate, spreading or ascending, lowest leaves present at anthesis 2.5–3.5 × 0.7–0.9 cm, upper leaves (3.5–)5–8.5 × 0.9–2.1 cm, apex acute, obtuse or rounded, apiculate, rounded at the base or more commonly tapering gradually into the petiole, glabrous except on the margins; midrib channelled on upper surface, lateral veins clearly visible but neither impressed nor raised, numerous, parallel to each other and at ± 90° to the midrib
