General Description

A terrestrial herb. Leaves 6-7, narrowly elliptic, obtuse and minutely tricuspidate at apex, 14-22 cm long, 2.5-4.2 cm wide, pale green, faintly lined and mottled dark green, margins erose towards apex. Inflorescence one-flowered; peduncle 10-23 cm long, pale green, purple-pubescent on outside; petals white, veined with green, purple-flushed on apical margins; lip and staminode green with darker veins; pedicel and ovary 4 cm long, green, purple-pubescent. Dorsal sepal ovate, acuminate or acute, 3.2-3.8 cm long, 3.2-4 cm wide; synsepalum concave, ovate, acute, 2.5-2.7 cm long, 1.7 cm wide. Petals falcate, narrowly elliptic, obtuse, 4.5-5 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, ciliolate. Lip narrowing towards apex, 4-5 cm long, 1.8-2.6 cm wide. Staminode lunate, 8-10 mm long, 12-14 mm wide, minutely pubescent.

Petals falcate, narrowly elliptic, obtuse, 4.5–5 cm long, 1.5–2 cm wide, ciliolate. Lip narrowing towards apex, 4–5 cm long, 1.8–2.6 cm wide. Staminode lunate, 8–10 mm long, 12–14 mm wide, minutely pubescent. 2n = 40.
