Annual; caespitose. Culms erect; slender; 18 cm long. Culm-internodes distally glabrous. Lateral branches lacking. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 1-1.5 mm long; obtuse. Leaf-blades 5-7 cm long; 2 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface scabrous; rough on both sides.
