General Description

A dwarf terrestrial herb with an elongate slender creeping subterranean rhizome, 1.5-2.5 mm in diameter. Stems erect, to 14 cm apart on the rhizome, 2-6 cm long, covered by two acute sheaths, bifoliate at apex. Leaves subopposite, spreading, prostrate on substrate, obovate-elliptic or elliptic, shortly apiculate, 3.3-9 cm long, 2-6.5 cm wide, green, glabrous. Inflorescence erect, one-flowered. Flower yellowish; pedicel 2-3.5 cm long, densely redvillose; pedicel 3-5 cm long, densely reddish pubescent, elongat-. ing to 15-25 cm after fertilisation; ovary 0.5-0.6 cm long, densely red-villose. Dorsal sepal ovate, acute, 1.4-1.7 cm long, 0.9-1.1 cm wide, pustular on inner surface, densely villose on outer surface; synsepal elliptic, shortly bifid at the apex, 1.1-1.4 cm long, 0.7-0.8 cm wide, pustular on inner surface and densely villose without. Petals enfolding sides of the lip, obliquely oblong-elliptic, acute, 1.3-1.4 cm long, 0.5-0.6 cm wide, very shortly bristly in apical part. Lip 0.8-1 cm long, papillose in front. Column 0.35-0.4 cm long; staminode oblong, rounded at apex, 0.3-0.35 cm long, 0.3 cm wide, papillose.
