This subspecies is accepted
The native range of this subspecies is Mexico to W. South America. It is a climbing tuberous geophyte and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Distribution
Known from central Mexico to Bolivia and Venezuela.
Ecology
It occurs in dry areas from sea-level to rather high altitudes.
Note
Anredera ramosa subsp. ramosa differs from subsp. aurea by, e.g. its whitish or pale yellowish perianth (vs. a golden yellow one). The synonymised Tandonia filiformis represents a long-pedicellate shade form, and var. boliviensis a large-leaved form. Neither of them deserve any formal recognition.
