This species is accepted
The native range of this species is Mexico (Oaxaca, Chiapas) to Bolivia. It is a rhizomatous geophyte and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome. It is used to treat unspecified medicinal disorders, as a medicine and has environmental uses.
